Types of AR Experiences
MyWebAR allows you to add augmented reality to printed images, product packaging, curved images (bottle labels, cups and cans), QR codes and real-world environment.

You can select the type of your experience in the project creation window:
Please note that some types of experiences are only available on premium plans.
Let's have a look at each type of augmented reality experience in detail.
AR on a QR Code
formerly QR Code Tracking
Display augmented reality content over printed or on-screen QR codes. With this type of augmented reality project a QR code is used to launch your experience and the same code also works as a marker the digital content is attached to in AR.
AR in the Real World
formerly World Tracking
Display augmented reality content on horizontal surfaces of the real world without any images or location anchors.

This type of experience doesn't require the user to scan the environment, the content appears instantly in front of the camera.

It supports even low-end devices, but the objects might float around or shake when the user is moving their device. With this type of tracking the user can't move around the virtual object to see it from different angles, but it allows you to run AR campaigns with the widest target audience, especially in the developing countries.
SLAM
experimental type of World Tracking
Display augmented reality content in the real-world environment.

It requires the user to scan the environment to initialize the experience, similar to ARCore and ARKit.

This type of experience features better stability when the user is moving their device and allows the user to move around the virtual object to see it from different angles.
AR on Images
formerly Image Tracking
Display augmented reality content on a custom image uploaded to MyWebAR. Augment any type of printed media, product packaging, marketing materials, clothing, accessories and more.
AR on Curved Images
formerly Curved Image Tracking
Display augmented reality content over curved images. This type of experience allows you to add digital content to bottle labels, coffee cups, cans and other cylinder shaped objects.

To create a curved image experience you need to upload an undistorted (uncurved) design of your label into the platform. It will be automatically turned into a cylinder on the scene.

You can adjust the top and bottom radius for cone-shaped objects, such as coffee cups.
